45 foot Colossal Squid vs 25 foot male killer whale?
Squid: 1500 lbs
Killer Whale: 15000 lbs
I know that these 2 creatures don’t share the same habitats, as squid live at several thousand feet below sea level where orcas could never dive to, however let’s suppose they both meet at some point possibly where a killer whale is feeding on the remains of a dead sperm whale.
Would the killer whale be scared off by the larger sized squid or would it stay and fight? Colossal squid are known for their aggression, so who would win in a fight and why?
Let’s also assume no other squid/ orcas are around to interfere.
Somehow I think the squid would win this as they have been known to sometimes kill much larger creatures like Sperm whales who also eat them in turn.
Killer whales will feed on bigger whales. They are not scared of larger animals by any means.
